It also sorts through additional deeds and land records in neighboring counties, records of the Mount Pleasant Monthly Meeting (and other Quaker meetings that make reference to Grayson County), orders from the order books pertaining to insolvency, tax exemption, bastardy, guardianship, deaths, or removals, and also free black and mulatto lists (1837, 1839-40), select entries from the Cohabitation Register of 1866 of free blacks (those that relate to Grayson County), Bible records, Grayson County school reports of 1856-1857, additional pensions, family letters, and other collections. While will and probate records are still not included here, all references to testate and intestate estates in the court order books ARE included in this book, serving as proof of an existing estate record.
